Congratulations, Alvaro!!

Alvaro completed a 4 week program at Live In Fitness, and in two consecutive weeks lost 5.6 lbs each week! His body fat percentage dropped 4% in four weeks and he lost over 10 lbs in pure fat.

Alvaro was born in Mexico, but currently lives in New York. His career started in the Postal Service, but now he owns his own professional cleaning service.  Along with his beautiful wife, who was in the medical field, they worked hard and raised a family.  Alvaro stopped drinking 25 years ago, and as common pattern, it was replaced with another vice, which for Alvaro was smoking and then soda.

He started to notice an increase in weight, particularly in belly fat, over the last two or three years.  As a father, a grandfather, and with a wife in the medical profession, he knew the risks that came with this change. He knew it was time to make a lifestyle overhaul. He is turning 60 at the end of the year and wanted to feel good about himself, to be healthy for himself and for his family. This had been an ongoing worry for his wife and kids, who were the ones that suggested Live In Fitness. It can take 28+ days to break a habit, so Alvaro signed up for a month!

When asked what did you expect when you came to LIFE?

To work hard and be pushed. I underestimated how hard I would have to work but I was committed. My goal was to lose two pant sizes,  I came in wearing a 40 and left in a 24.

What have you enjoyed about the program?

Great encouragement from the couches, they truly understand what we you are going through.
The accountability especially from coach Jan ,who every day was asking me “How did your day go yesterday”  “How many calories did you burn please text me with these results every night.”  Coach Sarah was always pushing my weekly goals higher and higher and would say “ I increased it because I know you can do it “. My personal trainer J, who was a key person in my development and achievements, was always always encouraging and helpful. The program works. Eric’s program is complete with many facets to ensure a healthy lifestyle for us, the client, and more importantly our specific needs. You have to do the work, no matter the cost. If you don’t do the work, you’re not going to lose weight.  The classes are well designed and the levels set to your ability.  The lectures are very enlightening, especially the lectures taught by Eric Viskovicz the owner. It’s so cool that he is so down to earth, knowledgeable and passionate!  My wife cannot wait to taste my cooking, now with new and healthy recipes.

What advice would you give to others contemplating the program?

Go out there and work more than the coaches ask of you, “go the extra mile “!

Swithun lost 9 lbs in his first week at Live In Fitness! Accompanied by his lovely wife, who never missed a beat with her own stay: classes, schedule, and LIF program.  Together this dynamic duo have been an inspiration to all of us here. From the LIF staff, the coaches, and to the guests themselves.  Swithun and Lorraine, in their 70’s, are from the Bahamas, and are both retired from a career in Sales.

They chose Live In Fitness as their two week destination as the program offers proven science in nutrition and exercise.  This, along with Eric Viskovicz’s life philosophies on self improvement, awareness, and education to help enrich their health, so that they can continue to travel as soul-mates.  Both diabetic, with high HBP, they tried a raw diet several years ago to lower their blood sugar levels, but it was not sustainable for Lorraine.  Knowing that their sugar levels, particularly over the last six months, have steadily increased, they had to make a lifestyle change – and quickly. They called, made the decision, registered, and headed to Live In Fitness right away!

What did you expect when coming to Live In Fitness and what changes have you seen?

We didn’t know for sure quite what to expect, but the food looked good in the pictures. Turns out the food tastes even better than displayed on the website!!  In just two weeks my sugar levels have lowered by 100 points.

What have you enjoyed about the program?

The atmosphere!! it is really a community working together towards a common goal. The Trainers are very patient and push you further than you can imagine. Chef Keith is the King of his Court! Nicola bends over backwards to fill your every need.

How has this changed your outlook on Life?

I am very optimistic now and believe this is a sustainable lifestyle!

What advice would you give others contemplating attending the program?


Come, do it NOW don’t waste a moment!

What advise would you give to others?


Do the best that you can in each class and give the program your all and avoid outside temptations.  Ask yourself, is it really worth it… and was this why you came to the program.

Congratulations Swithun and Lorraine!! You really have laid the foundation that life is what you make it, and you do have a choice.  Don’t let fear, or being uncomfortable, dictate your decision not to try or change. We are so privileged and glad that you chose Live In Fitness as your reset on life, and that we all had the opportunity to learn from your wisdom and experience!  Continue to enjoy, be adventurous, and explore what life has to offer!!

LIF’s Client of the Week!

Congratulations Dave on dropping 9 lbs in his first week!
Since staying at Live In Fitness Dave has lost 25 lbs, gained lean mass, and lost 14 lbs in pure fat!!

Dave lives in Memphis, where he works on a farm with his nephew. The realization of his current health status really hit home with a recent fall, where he was unable to immediately recover. He looked up at his nephew and realized that in his current health status, how long would he be in his nephew’s life? This motivated him to make a change, as he had been gaining weight for the last 5 years. In the last year he noticed his decrease in flexibility & mobility, his lack of activities and physical movement. He continued to tell himself repeatedly “I’ll start a diet next week”.  This was the time for him to reach out.  

Dave choose Live In Fitness because of the individualized program they offered, fascinated and intrigued by the science and data used for weight loss and optimal health. Understanding that weight loss on the scale is only one of several ways to measure results. This program has given him a better understanding of how his body work, through inches and fat loss and he has surpassed all his initial goals allowing him to create new ones.

When asked how he felt about the LIF Program:

“I am happy with my progress so far. I have enjoyed all the coaches and classes. My roommates have become friends for life. LIF does a good job of creating a family atmosphere. I would tell others that the program works. 1st timers should just do what they can in a class, set a starting point, you are resilient and will be amazed at how quickly your body and mind adjust. The LIF Team are all professionals and know when to motivate, when to push and coach you so you reach your full potential. Congratulations, April!!

Congratulations to April, our ‘Client of the Week’, for losing 6.8 lbs in one week during her stay at Live In Fitness, and in total dropping 20 lbs in fat while gaining overall lean muscle! Along with her perseverance and determination in finding what works for her, to keep going and never give up on a challenge or a goal, and knowing that her coach, Coach J, always believed that she could.

April lives in Arkansas with her husband and son. She left her work as a nurse case manager to come to Live In Fitness for an extended stay, as her health and longevity was far more important. She came with her mom, who has always been her biggest supporter and #1 Fan.

April has ALWAYS been heavier, with a strong build, not concerned with slenderness. Extreme physical strength has always been a real addiction. In her 30’s, April spent many hours in the gym or on the trail, either getting prepared for an OCR or lifting. Three years ago she was derailed by an accident, which prevented her from doing the physical activities she loved, which left her feeling depressed. She gained almost 100 lbs, and was left with a severe shooting pain in her back and hip.

 

 

When asked what ultimately made you decide to choose Live In Fitness?

“My mom had started researching ‘fat’ camps and had several possibilities lined up. She asked me for my opinion, so I went through all the websites, the comments from previous clientele, both positive and negative. In the end I was most impressed by LIF’s aftercare plan, which was created by Eric Viskovicz’s knowledge and experience from helping countless other clients, helping them understand what they need to stay successful. Home-based support is essential to continued progress, and eventual maintenance. The ‘business’ plan is equally essential and those who bypass it are only damaging themselves and honestly, they are wasting the money they spent to come here by not putting the time in on the extreme introspection necessary for long-term maintenance.”

“I feel FABULOUS about my progress! My preference is the water-based activities, where I can lose 5-6 lbs weekly. I’m internally motivated and enjoyed the private workouts offered at Live In Fitness, the one-on-one water aerobics or physio sessions were my favorites. Working with Scott, the ‘Strength & Conditioning Coach’, has effectively brought my body back to life. It was also important to me that I learned and understood the meal plan macro breakdowns and additional information provided throughout the lectures. Learning the meal plan macro breakdowns is absolutely the most important thing I’m taking home with me. The old adage, ‘workouts are easy, controlling that fork is the real challenge’ definitely applies. Keeping the macros in line is essential to everything.”

“I had a special connection with Jan, one of the amazing coaches who is experienced with older clients with chronic injuries and persons with limited mobility due to extreme obesity. I also gained a lot of insight and found the lectures extremely informative. A nutrition lecture from Aline, LIF’s resident nutritionist, made me realize that proper nutrition is ESSENTIAL. Eric Viskovicz, Founder & Owner of this program, is an especially great motivational speaker. He has a gift for simultaneously entertaining and teaching, capturing an audience and making the take notice, listen, and reflect.”

 

What advice would you give others contemplating attending the program?

“It’s only as good as what you put into it. Be fully committed to the work. To the sacrifice. To the pain. Because there WILL be pain. Physical pain. Mental pain. Emotional pain. And it is worth EVERY PENNY. If you commit to it, it’s a spiritual awakening. You’ll find a different person staring back at you in the mirror.”

“My life advice quote, which I instilled into my son at a very young age, is from Eleanor Roosevelt – ‘No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.’ Know who you are. Don’t allow others’ opinions of you to color how you see yourself. What works for them won’t necessarily work for you. Above all, unless you have specifically asked for an opinion, the ONLY person whose opinion should matter to you is the opinion of someone you love and/or respect.”

Congratulations to Kim for losing 7.2 lbs in her first week at Live In Fitness!

Kim lives in Santa Rosa and is a retired Deputy Chief Probation Officer, but works part time doing employee backgrounds and internal investigations. Her biggest struggle in life has always been her relationship with food. For most of her life she has been overweight, trying every diet, which at times left her sad and embarrassed.

Kim chose Live In Fitness because she had always wanted to participate in a weight loss/fitness camp. After researching, she felt this was the right choice for her. She needed a place where she could focus on herself without any distractions, a place to workout hard, feel strong, lose 10 lbs, and to learn something new. The greatest learning experience that Kim will take from Live In Fitness has been by far the nutritional education and guidance, from the nutritionist and from attending the informative lectures.

Kim has always had a positive outlook and loves her life, but this LIF experience has bettered her relationship with food and exercise, helping her find a balance.

This week also proved to be a ‘win-win’ weight loss for several ladies that all started their journey together, sharing an instant bond, a sense of team comradery, motivation, and inspiration. Collectively Kim, along with Sheila, Robin, and Wendy, shed nearly 30 lbs in one week!

Eric Viskovicz created his LIF Program to provide all the tools and education needed to create a healthier lifestyle.
