Live In Fitness – Chris

Chris lost 16 pounds and 10 inches in two weeks.
Chris is the Client of the Week for June 10th, 2017!!

Chris is in the process of preparing himself for life after retirement. He has seen what can happen once you get older and lose mobility and become unhealthy; He wants to get a head start and combat these obstacles head on! Chris wants to guarantee himself that he will be moving well into his retirement.

Chris got exactly was he expected; A room to stay, a controlled diet, and people to workout with.

Enthusiastic! Chris had a goal in mind of 15 lbs which he exceeded within his 2 week stay. He is currently down 16 lbs and 10 inches in 2 weeks!! Chris stated that he would have been happy with losing 13 lbs, but he reached and passed his goal.

Everything combined! The program paired with like minded people helped him strive for success.

“Stick with the winners!” Surround yourself with positive influences; people that lift your spirits and drive you to preform. Chris is shocked with those that skip class or go off program. He sees the value in participating and surrounds himself with like minded people. His advice is to stick with people that work the program.

Our program is unique as it is designed for the person who needs and wants to finally make that change.
We are not a spa! We are here for people who have an unrelenting pursuit of a goal.
We are a lot of work but worth it.

Live In Fitness – Ashley

Every week at L.I.F.E. we honor one of our clients that have really demolished expectations as our Client of the Week. We do this as a way to motivate our current and future clients and show what can be accomplished when you crush it and let your fire blaze!

This week of April 9th, 2017 we’re honoring Ashley Gaslorowski.

Ashley came to us from Apex, NC. Ashley’s passion all of her life has been competitive horseback riding and show. For years Ashley’s weight has been coming in between her and her life’s passions. When Ashley heard about Live in Fitness she knew the time had come to make a real change in her life.

Ashley chose Live in Fitness to buckle down and finally get fit and healthy. Since 1997 we have specialized in helping great clients, just like Ashley, work hard in support of our 2 main goals: lose weight and make a life style change. She signed up for the program and has already lost 93 lbs!! WOW!

Ashley shows the initiative needed to reach her goals. She is always up for a challenge. Not only does she do all the required classes but she does extra running and weight training between classes.  This is key to having the body and life you deserve. Ashley takes this mindset and continues to be a kind, motivating force in the gym. She pushes herself and others to the limit and helps herself and her fellow clients stay positive. She is always helping out and telling other’s “YOU CAN DO IT!”

She has very solid internal and external goals and already has a game plan on how to transition her routing at LIF into her home life! We’re proud to call her part of the Live in Fitness Family!

Nikki Marietta GA Lots 20 lbs in 3 weeks -Live in fitness

This week we’re honoring Nikki – Live In Fitness.

Nikki came to us from Marietta, GA. Nikki’s passion all of her life has been singing and dancing. For years her weight has been coming in between her and her life’s passions. When a friend told her about Live in Fitness she knew the time had come to make a real change in her life!

Nikki chose Live in Fitness to avoid all the fluff other programs offer and get straight to WORK. Since 1997 we have specialized in helping great clients, just like Nikki, work hard in support of our 2 main goals: lose weight and make a life style change! She signed up for the program for 4 weeks and had already lost 20 lbs in only 3 weeks!! 

Nikki shows the initiative and fire needed to reach her goals. Some clients have trouble doing certain exercises because of their weight, but that has never stopped Nikki! She makes modifications in exercises if she cannot do it, she’s always moving, and realizes this is a lifestyle change and not a diet. These are all key to having the body and life you deserve. Nikki takes this mindset and continues to be a kind, motivating force in the gym. She pushes herself and others to the limit and helps herself and her fellow clients stay positive.

Nikki has been an example for many and has taken to physical and internal training exceptionally. She has very solid internal and external goals and already has a game plan on how to transition her routing at LIF into her home life! We’re proud to call her part of the Live in Fitness Family!

You Can Run, But You Can’t Hide

Fear is a powerful thing. It only takes a strange sound you hear while home alone to get your imagination running…and your heart running even faster. Fear can create vivid images in your head…scenarios involving an intruder with unthinkable intentions. You hold your breath and listen intently for the next sound. As time passes, you gradually relax as no new sound comes, and then the fear is gone. Until you hear another sound.

The sound you probably just imagined is a literal sound…a creak in the floorboard upstairs, the house settling, or God forbid and actual intruder. But there’s another sound that will temporarily incite fear, and that’s the voice in your head telling you that you’d better take action, or the results will not be pretty. That voice is the one telling you it’s time to change the way you live before what you fear finally shows up. You can’t hide from that voice, because deep down you know that, if you continue to overeat, eat poorly, and not exercise, that voice is only going to give you only so many warnings before what you fear the most finally shows up. So you should run…if you want to. You can also do yoga, swim, play golf, surf…you name it…the options at Live in Fitness are practically limitless.

We understand how frightening it can be to take on a life-changing endeavor like permanent weight loss and long-term health, especially when that’s something that you have probably taken a crack at in the past, and probably with minimal or short-term results at best. We see this fear and doubt in the faces of those who show up to our Hilton Head fitness retreat⎯we hear it in the stories they tell when they get here, stories of past failures and serious doubt of future success. But you should see the looks on our clients’ faces when they leave…and the stories they tell when they’ve taken off the weight and know they’re on the path to, not just long-term weight loss and health, but a life of confidence and happiness that has no room for fear and doubt.

We can hear you now…”Yeah yeah, sure, I’ve heard this before. You’re going to make all of these promises; I’m going to get my hopes up, and the only thing I’m going to lose is more hope and more money.” We get it. But we’re not offering you empty promises, we’re offering a proven system and a promise that we will not let you fall short of your goals this time. Even more than that, we promise that, no matter how much you struggle after you leave, we will make sure that you power through and stay on the healthy, happy path you took when you left here.

When you arrive at our facility at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, you’ll probably feel like you’re on vacation. The island and the facilities are beautiful, and the average temperature is 76 degrees. You’ll have access to three championship golf courses, an 11-mile lagoon network where you can paddle, surfing lessons, miles of running and biking trails, world-class tennis courts, and you’ll be surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, which is swimmable year round. In addition to all of these activities, you can eat the foods you like…they might be healthier versions and smaller portions than you’re accustomed to, but you can still eat them. It’s kind of like a weight loss getaway or weight loss retreat.

Of course, there’s a catch. You have to do the work, but know that it will only seem like work before you do it. After you begin, it will seem more like fun than work, and not just because our staff makes sure that you enjoy yourself, but also because you will start seeing results, start feeling great (both physically and emotionally), and all of that fear and doubt will quickly turn into hope and confidence.

You’re probably still wondering how this time will be any different than the last. For starters, we’re not going to sell you a fad diet or magical piece of exercise equipment. We’re going to get to know you as a person and discover what your goals are. Then we’re going to create a plan, specifically tailored to you, that will ensure you don’t fail this time. We’re going to find out what makes you the person you are, what has kept you from success in the pass, and what’s going to be the best way to motivate you now. We’re going to perform a variety of scientific (but not scary) tests to learn what state your body is in, and then create a fitness and nutrition plan based on your preferred exercise and foods that you actually enjoy eating. We guarantee that, if you follow the plan, you will succeed and have fun doing it.

Then what? Do you leave and that’s it? Oh no, you can’t hide from us. We’re not only going to make sure that you have the tools and knowledge necessary to have the body and life you always wanted. We’re also going to be there when you’re struggling. And there will be those times when it’s not easy, but it will be worth it. You’ll be thinner, fitter, healthier, happier…and the voice in your head won’t be warning you, it will be congratulating you.

Live In Fitness – Call Us Fat Camp

At Live in Fitness™, we are one-hundred-percent positive that what we do works, and losing weight is just the tip of the iceberg. We teach our clients how to exercise safely and effectively; we teach them how to eat, cook and shop in a healthy responsible way; we help them discover and eliminate the behaviors and thought processes that kept them from succeeding in the past. What we aren’t sure about is what you should call us.

After arriving, our clients are known to call us things that aren’t very nice…at least at first. After all, we insist that they do things and eat things that weren’t part of their routine before. If they were they wouldn’t need us anymore.

But we don’t mind, because we have an almost-two-decade track record of lost pounds and changed lives. So if, along the way, we get called some names that don’t sound too flattering, that’s cool, because we know that in the end what we do works. And when people leave here, they are lighter, happier, healthier and full of gratitude.

Before they come here however, people call us names that we don’t consider too flattering either, because they don’t really nail what we do. For example…

Fat Farm – We don’t like the F word. And this name implies that we grow fat. On the contrary, we get rid of it.

Fat Camp – Yes, people leave their homes and stay with us for an extended period of time in a really cool place. But again, we don’t like the F word, and the term conjures sad little overweight kids being forced to go away and be tortured for the summer.

Weight Loss Spa/Weight Loss Getaway – Weight loss, definitely. But although our facility at Hilton Head Island doubles as a beautiful vacation spot, both of these names make it sound like you’re going to get pedicures and lie on the beach while people bring you food and cocktails.

Weight Loss Retreat/Weight Loss Camp – These are much better than “Fat” anything and frankly closer to what we are. But weight loss is only part of what we offer — we teach you how to live a healthy, happy life and keep it off.

Fitness Retreat/Fitness Camp -This name is okay, but it implies that you just come here and exercise. If you read it to mean a place where you can become physically, mentally and spiritually fit…then we’re getting really close.

We don’t really love any of these, but we love helping people lose weight for the long term, look and feel great and have a life and a self that they love. So you choose — call us whatever you want — just make sure you call us.
