All my life I have been big. But I was also always active in sports. Being active kept my weight in check. About 6 years ago I stopped going out and only focusing on work. In that time my weight ballooned to over 600 pounds. I received an health intervention on the Doctors television program. Which led me to live in fitness. I needed a Fitness  Retreat or fat camp. I expected to be pushed to my limits and beyond. I wanted a challenge and that’s exactly what I got. I am very proud of my progress so far I’ve lost over 200 pounds. I try not to get to excited because I know i still have a long way to go. The meals are extremely important I’ve learned that it’s 80%diet. Getting to the point where I can play sports has been beneficial. 


Here is Jermaine’s advice:  “Show up to classes you don’t loose if u don’t put in the work. Also push yourself you must get out of your comfort zone.  Even if your best is only 70% of normal give it your all. I have noticed the people who are not as motivated and have excuses lose the least amount of weight.”

Live In Fitness – Free Gift Certificate for DADS

Ricotta and Blueberry Pancakes

Prep time: 15 minutes Cook time: 10-12 minutes     Ready in: 25 minutes

Yields: 8-10 pancakes


2 cups water

1/3 cup Splenda

1/3 cup honey

1 ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract

2 cups Aunt Jemina Pancake Mix

1 cup Part Skim Ricotta Cheese

2/3 cup Frozen Blueberries


Follow directions on Aunt Jemina Pancake mix

1/3 cup water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves about 5 minutes.

Set aside and keep the honey syrup warm.

Using a rubber spatula, stir in the remaining 1 2/3 cup water and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Add the pancake mix and stir just until lumpy. Stir in the ricotta into the pancake mixture, then stir gently to incorporate the ricotta but maintain a lumpy batter. Fold in the blueberries.

Heat the griddle over medium heat. Spoon ¼ cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.  Serve with honey syrup.

Live In Fitness – Chris Fat Camp

At Fat Camp we get results.

Chris is in the process of preparing himself for life after retirement.  Chris has seen what can happen once you get older and lose mobility and become unhealthy. He wants to get a head start and combat these obstacles head-on. Chris wants to guarantee himself that he will be moving well into his retirement.

Chris got exactly was he expected; A room to stay, a controlled diet, and people to workout with.

Enthusiastic! Chris had a goal in mind of 15 lbs which he exceeded within his 2 week stay. He is currently down 16 lbs and 9 inches in 2 weeks!! Chris stated that he would have been happy with losing 13 lbs, but he reached and passed his goal.

Everything combined! The program paired with like-minded people helped him strive for success.

“Stick with the winners!” Surround yourself with positive influences; people that lift your spirits and drive you to preform. Chris is shocked with those that skip class or go off program.
