Weight Loss Tip #42: Don't trust sugar substitutes.
There are lots of products out there – ranging from diet sodas to ice cream - supposedly made with zero calorie sugar substitutes. This may seem like a good idea – after all, you are trying to reduce your calories. The problem is that sugar substitutes are not very healthy and won't do that much to help you meet your diet goals.
Sugar substitutes are artificial chemicals, and your body doesn't know how to properly process chemicals. Your body wants real food, not something created in a lab. Almost all of them come with potentially dire side effects and health concerns and most of them won't do much to solve hunger pangs. Stick to natural foods, and put as few chemicals into your system as possible.
