Walking is a great way to burn calories, and it's easier to incorporate more walking into your life than you would think. The next time you go to the mall, don't park close to the entrance. Park a ways back. If you are going to dinner at the home of someone in your neighborhood, walk there instead of driving.
When you get to work, take the stairs instead of the elevator. If you take the subway home, get off two stops early and walk the rest of the way home. Each of these things won't take that much more effort to do, but can have a dramatic positive effect on your weight loss efforts.
