FAQS
- When does the next session start?
The live-in fitness camp sessions are ongoing, so you can start at anytime, as long as we have spots available. Although the program runs seven days per week, we have new client orientation on Sunday and Wednesday.
- What are the lengths of stays for your weight loss programs?
We recommend that you stay at least two weeks, but you are welcome to come for one week up to several months. An associate can help you determine the amount of time that is right for you.
- What does the cost include?

- How do I sign-up?
When you have decided on the dates that you would like to come to L.I.F.E. (a.k.a. “Camp Technique”), please call us at 888.657.6029, and we will book your stay. We will then email you the paperwork to fill out and fax back to us. At the time of booking, we require a 25% deposit to reserve your spot. Once we receive the deposit and the paperwork, we will send you a welcome email with packing suggestions, directions on how to get to us, check in and orientations times, etc. We will then also start preparing for your stay at L.I.F.E.. Your remaining balance is due one week prior to your arrival.
- What if a family emergency or serious injury happens while I am here?
We don’t want to take any time away from you, so in the event of an emergency, please let us know right away and we will put your package on hold. Because we offer weight loss programs all year long, we can easily reschedule your remaining package for a later time (based on the availability at that time). We put the meal plan and program package on hold and any services purchased during this time. However the accommodations we do not put on hold and clients need to pay on return.
- How is your program different from other programs out there?
We personalize the weight loss retreat to your individual needs so that you get maximum results. We are a lifestyle change program that focuses on the psychological aspects of weight loss and what you need for lifelong weight management. Our program is disciplined, providing you with a schedule that includes eating times, classes, and personal training.
Why Choose Us
- What program level is right for me?
Prior to your arrival, we ask you to fill out a Client Profile form where you tell us about your health history, lifestyle, and goals. We review this information before you arrive, so that we can start to design your program. Then when you arrive at our fitness camp in Los Angeles, we will learn more about you, assess your fitness level, and do a body fat analysis in order to determine which level to start you at. As you lose weight and improve your fitness level, you will be continually reassessed and your exercise activities will change accordingly.
- What kind of exercise will I be doing?
Your exercise program will consist of one-on-one personal training sessions, group workouts, outdoor fitness classes (boot camp), hikes, bike rides, swimming, kayaking, and other outdoor activities like the Manhattan Beach sand dunes and the world famous Santa Monica stairs. In the gym, you will do a variety of cardiovascular and weight bearing activities.
- What if I need to travel during my time at boot camp?
If you know ahead of time what your schedule will be, we can arrange to work around it. We can also extend your stay to account for your time away from camp. We want to make sure that you fully complete the program. If you do travel, we will send workouts with you so that you can keep on track with your goals.
- What if I get sick or miss a class during my time at boot camp?
Most likely this is going to happen at one time or another. When you are feeling better, we would like you to speak with your coach about making up the time that you missed either during your existing time with us, or if it is possible for you, to extend your stay. This keeps you on track with your goals.
