Why People Are Embracing Exercise Bands

If you have gone to a beach boot camp or other boot camp programs recently, you might be surprised that one of the tools that trainers are most frequently relying on is also one of the simplest: resistance bands. Why have so many professional trainers and exercisers turned to exercise bands to help improve their workouts? Simply put, it’s because they are affordable, easy to use and provide a great workout.

Exercise bands are essentially large rubber or elastic bands. These can be attached to a solid object such as a door, tree or anything else. By pulling on the bands in different ways, a person can get a variety of different exercises working out a whole range of muscle groups. By providing resistance training, it is also a less physically jarring type of exercise than something like weightlifting, an especially important aspect at fat farms or other situations with people who might be very out of shape.

Fitness retreats are embracing exercise bands because they are cheap to purchase and easy for their trainers to use when instructing clients. And because they are portable and affordable, it’s easy for people to continue with their exercise routines once they leave their boot camp program. All they need to do is have a little bit of space and a few minutes a day, and they can easily and cheaply continue with  a workout program that’s proven to work.
