Mini-workouts That Work for Teen Girls

It’s important for everyone to get plenty of exercise – and this includes teenage girls. But the reality is that today’s teen girls often feel that they are far too busy to get in regular exercises like an exercise boot camp for girls. With classes, socializing, jobs and other activities, it can be tough to find the time to do anything.

Rather than letting themselves go and winding up at one of many weight loss camps for teens, a good solution to this problem is for girls to sneak in mini-workouts throughout the day. These can be very simple exercises that might only take up five or ten minutes of time a day, but this can add up to a solid day’s worth of exercise when it’s all said and done.

One of the best times to get in some exercise is first thing in the morning. Instead of hitting the snooze button one more time, teens can spend five to ten minutes doing some simple stretching exercises to get them loose and ready for the day. For the rest of the day, there are plenty of opportunities to turn their schools, homes and even the mall into a personal weight loss retreat.

Sitting in class is another place where teens can get in a quick workout. By discreetly crossing their legs, pointing their toes to the ground and tracing the alphabet with their feet, they’ll actually be doing a very good exercise focusing on strengthening their calf muscles.  Another quick workout for teens is to have them contract their abs and hold them in for as long as possible. This can also be done without anyone noticing, and goes a long way to helping get a firm stomach.

If you are looking for the best boot camp for teens, Live-in Fitness Enterprises (LIFE) provides a positive, nurturing place for teens looking to get serious about their weight issues. Our counselors take a holistic approach to developing a program that teens can stick to during their busy schedules.
